What is a Phenolic Block Used for? Phenolic Blocks are a load bearing foam insulation used to support steel, copper and plastic pipework. They are designed for use with pipe supports, brackets and clips. They offer insulation at the pipe support and provide a thermal barrier between the pipe and the clip. Condensation and corrosion can be common when supporting chilled water pipes.
What are the Properties?
- CFC/ HCFC – free with zero Ozone Depletion potential (ODP)
- High closed cell content
- Inert bore coated for use on all Pipe including copper
